Devendra Pradhan is the founder and the
managing member of Pradhan & Associates. Devendra primarily
focuses his practice in advising and representing foreign
corporations and has represented many multinational companies from
Fortune 500 list. He primarily focuses his practice in the area of
aviation, aircraft leasing and financing, telecommunications,
technology, merger and acquisition, corporate finance, intellectual
property, international transaction, etc.
In aviation sector, Devendra handles
contentious as well as non-contentious work. In non-contentious
sector, he advises and represents primarily aircraft and engine
manufacturers, foreign aircraft owners and leasing corporations,
airlines, brokers in transactional, commercial and regulatory
matters and represents them before government agencies. In
contentious sector, he handles matters relating to aircraft leasing
disputes, air carriers’ liability, accident investigation, accident
litigation, etc.
Devendra is recognized as a leader in
various areas of law including the field of aviation law by major
international legal directories. The UK legal directory, The
International Who's Who of Aviation Lawyers 2010, based on peer
recommendation, has named him as the leading aviation lawyer in
Nepal.
Devendra has widely published scholarly
articles on various areas of Nepali aviation law as well as on key
issues of international aviation law in various international law
journals and prestigious international publications which include,
Journal of Air Law & Commerce, Getting the Deal Through – Air
Transport, etc. He is a frequent speaker at various international
forums.
Devendra received a Bachelor’s Degree in
Law from Tribhuvan University in Kathmandu, Nepal in 1990. He also
obtained an LLM in International Business Law from American
University, Washington College of Law where he studied
international aspects of aviation law. In addition to Nepal,
Devendra is also admitted as an attorney at law in New York,
District of Columbia and various Federal Courts in the United
States of America.
