Mr James Meyer has numerous years of experience in the
aviation industry and has assisted clients in the U.S., Canada, the
Caribbean, Latin America and Europe with all aspects of their
transaction aviation needs, both complex and routine, foreign and
domestic. Mr Meyer has had the opportunity to represent lenders,
airlines, manufacturers, high-net worth individuals, flight
departments and suppliers in connection with the acquisition, sale,
structuring (including tax), financing and leasing of private and
commercial aircraft, engines and aircraft parts. Mr Meyer is active
in a number of aviation-related organizations including the
National Business Aircraft Association (NBAA), the National
Aircraft Finance Association (NAFA), the Latin American Aviation
Lawyers Association (ALADA), the Ibero-American Institute of
Aviation and Space Law, and several others. He is a member of
Nation Business Aviation Association and National Aircraft Finance
Association. Mr Meyer speaks frequently at aviation law conferences
on a variety of aviation matters ranging from deregulation to noise
control, Cape Town, aircraft finance, FAA registration issues,
ownership and structural issues, the integration of the
international aviation industry, space law, and similar topics. He
is a member of the Florida Bar Associations and is fluent in
Spanish.
